On September 11th, the 2025 Jiangsu Industry-University-Research Cooperation Matching Conference grandly opened at Nanjing International Exhibition Center. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Xu Kunlin, Governor of Jiangsu Province, attended the opening ceremony. Prior to the ceremony, they visited scientific and technological achievements in fields such as basic research, aerospace, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine, injecting policy support and development impetus into this grand event focusing on the integration of "industry, university, research and application".
As an important platform in the field of scientific and technological innovation in Jiangsu, this conference invited more than 50 academicians, over 70 heads of universities and research institutes, thousands of technology enterprises, and more than 10,000 scientific and technological personnel to participate in cooperation matching. On-site, more than 4,100 scientific and technological achievements from universities and research institutes, as well as over 3,600 enterprise technology demands were released in a concentrated manner. This accurately echoes the conference theme of "Science and Technology Empower New Quality Productivity, Innovation Integration and Development Take the Lead", and builds an efficient bridge for the transformation of innovative achievements.
Eastsuper, a deep cultivator in the new materials field, was invited to participate in the exhibition with its core product "second-generation high-temperature superconducting tapes" and a model of the "Tokamak" device for controlled nuclear fusion (a downstream application). This display showcases the application value of superconducting technology in national strategic science and technology fields.
Magnetically confined controlled nuclear fusion is hailed as the ultimate solution to humanity's energy problems. Currently, major international research institutions mainly use Tokamak devices, which have the highest technical maturity, to achieve nuclear fusion. The second-generation high-temperature superconducting tape, with its excellent critical current and mechanical properties under low-temperature and high-field conditions, is the core material for superconducting magnets in Tokamak devices. It accounts for approximately 30% of the cost of controlled nuclear fusion devices and represents the core technology for accelerating the commercialization of controlled nuclear fusion.
Eastsuper focuses on the R&D and industrialization of second-generation high-temperature superconducting materials and their applications. Its products have been widely used in various cutting-edge technological fields such as controlled nuclear fusion, maglev, power transmission, magnetic induction heating, and nuclear magnetic resonance, emerging as a key force driving the development of China's high-end manufacturing and strategic emerging industries.
In the future, East Superconducting will continue to deepen its presence in the superconducting field, achieving continuous breakthroughs in improving material performance and expanding application scenarios. With the "superconducting strength" derived from independent innovation, it will contribute to national scientific and technological progress and the development of new quality productivity.
